I have now tried
domainname.com/xoops/index.php?un=1234

and in index.php
$_SESSION['un'] = $_REQUEST['un']

but this does not carry into the session
any ideas?

thanks for the reply - I have used $_SESSION['your_var']= 1234
and
myvar = $_SESSION['your_var'] on another page but the variable is blank - do you know how i can check the reason?

i would like to capture a parameter and store it into the session on startup i.e. mydomain.com/1234 where 1234 is an item number - when is the XOOPS session available?

Multimenu +firefox 3

I have used multimenu css horisontal dropdown menu and it has been working well until recently - probably a firefox update - the IE7 is working ok but firefox is not showing the menu horizontally instead it is appearing vertically. Any help urgently appreciated

Yes sure looks great on Xoopx home page but I can see how to make it work either. What version does it need to run? (2.0.18.1 here)

I have go tthe module working by commenting the lines form 333 out
// KickassAMD Modification
// v1.56
//$story->setStoryImage($_POST['article_img']);
//$story->setStoryLink($_POST['link']);
//$story->setStorySource($_POST['source']);

Not sure how to correct but it is now submitting ok

THe server is using php 5.20
Mysql 4.1.21
It is a fresh install on XOOPS 2.16

I have set up one category but have not been able to set up any items.

The only debug error is :
Fatal error: Call to undefined method NewsStory::setStoryImage() in /home/holonfo/public_html/modules/news/submit.php on line 333

Hi
On submitting a new news item i get the debug error

Fatal error: Call to undefined method NewsStory::setStoryImage() in /home/holonfo/public_html/modules/news/submit.php on line 333

and the item is not being saved.

Any help greatly aprreciated

I have some php code (currently wrapped with tinyd module) to gather information and calculations - these are stored in both the session and in a database - I would like to have a an option to 'Create Report' which automatically creates a pdf of the information - can you suggest a way to create a pdf file on the fly within xoops
