I've been moving some tables from one XOOPS site to another one. Everything has worked perfectly except for the comments on news (1.21) articles. When looking in the Admin-System-Comments window, I can see all the comments but no module is selected in the Module column in that list.

Anyone that knows how to resolve this problem?

/Roger

Found the problem or at least what caused the blank page. A module "counter", when installed gave the blank start page. However, what's causing this problem I haven't searched for.

Thanks all

I've moved all the files from my old site to the new and set the proper permissions on cache upload etc directories. I also moved the database. In the mainfile.php I've updated information such as dbname, dbuser, dbpass, virtual path, physical path.

I have also made a db export via phpmyadmin and used the sql script to import it to the new database. I've done this before successfully, but not this time. I also uploaded all xoops-files once again from a fresh xoops-install file downloaded from xoops.org. Still no success. My problem is that I get a blank start page.

I have searched the forum to look for similar errors but cannot find anything similar. I'm sure that I left something out since a new installation works perfectly but without my old data.

Thanks for any help!

Roger

Is anyone familiar with this module and the problem I'm having, namely when an ad expires it sends a mail every time someone accesses the website a mail is generated. The mail says that is has expired and that you can remove it or put a new ad.

I want the mail to be generated once and then removed. Have someone else expierenced this bug?

Thanks for help

Maybe my question is hard to comprehend?

Is there a db checker that can assist me with my problem? The only checker I found is for the xoops-files.

Thank you in advance

Cannot upload a new template set. Error in default template set.
------

I have installed XOOPS on many sites but on my first site there has been a database problem. In the template set manager I cant view all of the default templates for all modules except for the contact_form. In the database the table xoops_tplfile seems to contain all of the html-needed for the default template set, but in the admin-system-templates I see this!

Resized Image

As you can see there is no way of cloning uploading a template set.

When did this happen? I believe i tested a gallerymodule where you could set different priviligies. After some evaluation blocks dissapperade on the site and I restored a couple of table from a backup, can't remember which exactly. Now I cannot fix this problem. Is there a way of repairing this error without erasing all content?

Appreciate a lot your answers

/Roger

thanks cblue!

I managed to fix it. the xoops_group_permissions table became corrupt after using one of the gallery modules. I managed to fix it, by restoring one table from my backup. Then of course I had to manually restore permissions on all users afterwards. Well no big deal since there only is few users.

I learnt that making backup could be useful.

Thanks for the advice!
However I did what you told me before. Still there is no mainmenu in the admin menu either???. This gallery thing corrupted the database somehow?
Any idea?

/Roger
