I get a problem from time to time which I think is down to the RSS feed aggregator XHLD. The module is great and does everything I wnat it to, but now and again it lets me down.
The Front Page has an xhld block showing the 15 latest feeds, and has a cache time of 5 minutes. Now and again the front page takes ages to load, or gives a white page, even whilst all the other pages of the website work. I suspect that a problem with one of the feeds is causing this, but I am not sure. How ccan I check?

I removed the cache on the main menu, and now the site works. Could this be because the menu changes after you log in? (some modules are only visible to registered users).

I just altered the cache settings on all of my blocks, in an effort to get the front page to load faster. Instead I got the white screen.

You have a forum to discuss domain names. If all you want is a forum then don't bother to change however, with XOOPS you could:
1) Have a directory of domain registrars
2) Have a glossary of Terms concerning domains
3) Have RSS news feeds about the subject
4) Write a blog
5) Have a classifieds section for domain sales or an auction.
There are many more things that you can do with all the modules that exist.
You are more likely to be successful with XOOPS because the functionality persuades more people to become members and contribute.

Why don't you try Google analytics. It is better than a mere stats programme because it helps you understand how your users are moving through your site.

The Module Xhld is an easy to use choice. It can also be cloned several times for different categories of news.

Is there a module that tracks how many times links are clicked? It would make design decisions so much easier.
