Hi Everyone,

I'm feeling a bit like an idiot. This must be so easy it hurts, but I just haven't been able to figure it out.

How do you configure xhld... how do I add a feed.

I'm using:
Xoops 2.0.15
xhld 3.09

other modules:
mxdirectory
ams
forum

Please help... prefereably with simple instructions since my head must be off doing something else.

Thanks!

In the module admin, go to "List Headlines". Under "Add Headline", enter the "Site Name" (ex: XOOPS News), the URL of the site (ex: http://www.xoops.org), and the URI of the feed (ex: http://www.xoops.org/backend.php). You can leave the other fields with the default value and/or you can customize the page and block settings.

Then you can set the blocks for your index page if you want.

Hope that gets you started

Hey,

Thanks for the response.

When I click on xhld, then click on List Headlines, nothing shows under the title except for:

Headlines Configuration (No.0)

No fields to enter... nothing.

I just unistalled the module, deleted it from the modules folder, re-downloaded the 2.99 version and re-installed it. Still nothing.

Any suggestions?

Another piece to this, though I don't know if it makes a difference. I'm using 7dana Red for my theme.

Is there something else I'm missing. Should I have a particular version of sql, perl, etc. to get this to work?

Thanks for your help!

You might want to use the file form.php from XOOPS 2.0.14 instead of the one brought in 2.0.15.

Its in the folder \class\xoopsform\. Just replace it. Should cause no problems but solve this one.
(or you can wait for the release of XOOPS 2.0.16 soon but that actually would not make too much sense)

Awesome!!

Thanks for the tip. There is actually a "fixed form.php" on the main download page. I uploaded that and it immediately worked.

Better than updating the form.php ... update to 2.0.16

(Backup database & site etc first of course)
