Thanks for your reply and advice. The problem is now solved (hopefully).

Here is what happened:

The site has been running under XOOPS 2.0.16 for a couple months now, without any problems (relevant to this topic).

About a week ago, the top banner disappeared without warning. I thought it may have been a problem with the theme, the database, or the banner.php file. When I changed/reloaded all of these, the problem still persisted.

However, when the directory containing the banners were renamed from ..mysite.com/banners/ or ...mysite.com/banner/ to something else, the banners reappeared.

So the problem is most likely at the webhost side. I will have to investigate further. Thank you again for your replies

Hi Folks.. I don't know where to put this question, so here it goes in the General section.

My site is www.unc.org.tt

Everything was working fine until the other day when the top banner just disappeared. I switched to different themes and the banner still wont show. I tried hard coding the banner into the theme html, and even that didn't work. This may just be a design problem, but if it was, the banner should have shown under the other themes.

Any ideas?

One of the problems I am having is trying to organize the content/information.

We have press releases, but then I have to present other information, for each Member of Parliament, Campaign Issues, etc.

I tried wf_section, but I can't seem to get it to do what I want.

So, layout and content.. needs to be sorted. The colour scheme and general apprearance can be fixed after.

Any ideas?

After some time, learning and fiddling with Xoops, hacking here and there, I'm nearly getting there. Still have lots to do - like adding party policy, about us etc...

I need some more help... what I am going to do next is have 3 top centre columns, for stuff like a picture, crime statistics, and some other information.

Always evolving this website - but I need to get it done and over with soon.

At present, you can only recommend "yoursite" to a single individual at a time. Is there a way of recommending to more than one person using the same pop-up?

At present, the date appears in random order - but it is not entirely random. As I said in my first post, events are listed in the order in which they are posted by admin.

Therefore, you can have an event with an earlier start appearing AFTER a later event, because the later event was posted first.

My question is how to sort the start date so that events appear in date/time order.

ExtCal - Changing date order of events

Ive installed ExtCal - nice and simple event calendar.

Problem:
Apparently there is no sorting of dates. Events are listed in the order they were uploaded, not in the date order of the events themselves.

eg. If event 1 occurs on 09/09/04 and event 2 occurs on 08/09/04, the list still appears as event1, event2 and not the other way round (which seems to be the more logical way of doing it).

Any hacks or help to correct this?

I would like to remove the "Comments?" as well.

If you take out the "adminlink" and "morelink" from the Block Template.. then how would readers be able to "Read More"?

I tried looking at the news code.. and was toying with the more.link statement (??? I am no PHP expert here).. but that didn't seem to work.

How could I just leave a "Read More" link?
