wfdownloads installation problems

Hi,

I've downloaded the module from here
https://github.com/XoopsModules25x/wfdownloads

Xoops: 2.5.7.1

On install I get this message:
Fatal error: Call to a member function dirname() on a non-object in C:\xampp\htdocs\xoops\modules\wfdownloads\include\oninstall.php on line 24

Can someone help here?

the version you just upload on repository (1.50 beta 3) has some bugs

I found that my mobile device was auto correcting my email address with a space at the end... why! why!!

Just updated to 1.8.1 and all works well when using from PC but doesn't work when using from mobile.

"Error: Your email is not valid"

Turned on debug and no errors...

I thought maybe it was bootstrap so tried several themes and still got the same result.

I did find that if I was logged in with default theme it worked on mobile but if not logged in it failed. If logged in with bootstrap theme it failed.

Any help would be fantastic.

I'll be uploading an updated version hopefully this weekend or within a week or two.

The module is definitely something that we'll maintain for a while...

This is a great editor which I can truly recommend (since I use it myself). If you like it a bit more lightweight, Sublime Text is the way to go.

I'd like to see that XOOPS 2.6 will be fully MVC, but I fear it'll take a longer while than that to see it actually happen (it will take a lot of work to get this in place).

It will be worth the effort though, as MVC has many benefits.

Turn off custom session, you may need to do this via the config table in the database if you cant login. If your host implemented something like mod_security this may be the issue.
