Just updated to 1.8.1 and all works well when using from PC but doesn't work when using from mobile.

"Error: Your email is not valid"

Turned on debug and no errors...

I thought maybe it was bootstrap so tried several themes and still got the same result.

I did find that if I was logged in with default theme it worked on mobile but if not logged in it failed. If logged in with bootstrap theme it failed.

Any help would be fantastic.

This is a great editor which I can truly recommend (since I use it myself). If you like it a bit more lightweight, Sublime Text is the way to go.

I'd like to see that XOOPS 2.6 will be fully MVC, but I fear it'll take a longer while than that to see it actually happen (it will take a lot of work to get this in place).

It will be worth the effort though, as MVC has many benefits.

Turn off custom session, you may need to do this via the config table in the database if you cant login. If your host implemented something like mod_security this may be the issue.

There are different themes that you could adjust to you needs, like for example:

Delphic

Enzyme

Or you can use a HTML template and adjust it to XOOPS by following this tutorial (in Spanish)

It can't, as XOOPS 2.5.6 was released in April 2013

As Zyspec said earlier, you should upgrade to PHP 5.3.7+, with PHP 5.4 recommended! Most good hosts offer just to change one setting in the config, and you're running the upgraded PHP in 3 minutes!

The author, Lorna Mitchell, offers her list of five things, each with a bit of summary and a few links to more information on the topics:

Also, XOOPS won't act strange "out of the blue" - there had to be a change to cause it. Check the logs fort the host changes, and go back and see if you have changed something but forgot about it ...
