I don't know how young you are, but there was a time when all spellcheckers where "on demand" only, not "check while you write"

That being said, if you can find a good php library that can do that, along with free dictionaries for all needed languages, it should be almost like the preview, only with the unkown words marked in some way.

This is not a good idea, although it would be very usefull.

A spellchecker would have to watch what your typing during you type. So this wouldn't work, never seen this on a webpage. This is PHP and only a web application on the server side could do that.

It would be better to use XMLRPC (bloggar) and add the spellchecking inside the application.

Hi there,

several users have big problems with their spelling.
Wouldn't it be great to have a spellcheck for Xoops?

Should be also possible for languages others than english.

Login problem when changing language ...

I installed xoops2RC2 to my test server. For testing purpose, I'm trying to upgrade from XOOPS 1.3.7

after 4 try, and final fresh install wihth only XOOPS default modules and only default theme, it was OK. But when I try to change language it's fail on login.

I'm just copied standard english language folders to "turkish" folders and just and only changed global.php's 3 lines:

define('_CHARSET', 'ISO-8859-1');
define('_LANGCODE', 'en');
define("XOOPS_USE_MULTIBYTES", "0");
to
define('_CHARSET', 'ISO-8859-9');
define('_LANGCODE', 'tr');
define("XOOPS_USE_MULTIBYTES", "1");

(I try also to change 1 by 1)

after changing "CHARSET' to 'ISO-8859-9' I can't login to the site.

Another situation; i'ts working without any problems until loging out and reentering to the site.

Additional info: when I'm changing the language to 'english' from db, It's working well again .
Also it's failing when I'm changing default language (english) global.php.

Andromeda module for xoops2

i need to get andromeda to be modularized w/ XOOPS 2.0 you can check out andromeda at http://www.turnstyle.com So far, i've been emailing back and forth with the developer, who says he's stuck, and needs to talk with a XOOPS developer. We've tried a bunch of stuff. It seems XOOPS is the only cms he hasnt had this thing modularized for too. Anyone know how they could help?
