Hello, being not a programor I would like to know if XOOPS would suit to clone or model a web platform site such as yahoo knowing that I would like my site in php and MySQL and that I particularly want the following frameworks without having to use java but PHP.
Prototype is a JavaScript framework that aims to ease development of dynamic web applications.
Rome is an open source (Apache license) set of Atom/RSS Java utilities that make it easy to work in Java with most syndication formats.
Castor is an Open Source data binding framework for Java. It provides Java-to-XML binding.
Spring is a leading full-stack Java/J2EE application framework.
Hibernate is an object/relational persistence and query service for Java.


As I want my site in PHP/MYSQL what could you suggest me as cms in order to be abel to use the Prototype is a JavaScript framework and others to get closer to the yahoo.com portal web site but in PHP/MYSQL

With XOOPS, you can in principle use all JavaScript you want.
I can't tell replacements for the Frameworks listed.
But if you talk about the needed functionality, then I can propose you some modules:
News: publishing articles.
For Rss and syndication there are several modules

I am taking the same oportunity also to see if you would know someone who woudl be intrested in developping my new XOOPS theme web site as I am no programor or web developer at all. I think there wouldn't be anybette to look over here as the cms is in XOOPS and I have really hard to find someone outside this XOOPS suport,
