database migration form cbb to newbb forum

due to some requests for features like quoting when replying id like to get from CBB to newBB without losing the information that is currently in the forum. any simple way of doing this or will i be copying records from one database to another till somewhere next week?

CBB is really a later version of newbb. You should lose the latest stable version on your website, i.e. CBB 3.08

If you a re seriously thinking of downgrading then you only do so armed with all knowledge. The quote button that you mention is still in CBB's code only "commented out" by the developers (for whatever reason they may have chosen. See this thread:
