How To Setup A Sourceforge Project. Whats the best way?

I have been trying to figure out the best way to set up sourceforge. The xgarage project needs some guidance on the right way to do this.

We want our devs to be able to work on new modules in a coherent manner.

I expect at least 10 different modules being made as time progresses.

Bug tracker on each module and cvs for each is what I want.

I really dont know much about the site except the XOOPS project flows very nice from there.

I would like to achieve the same kind of setup.

Somehow I got the impression I should use the full XOOPS package in cvs. Then we would be able to adjust our modules inside of the XOOPS module folder.

What would be the best way to do this?

Thanks for any info or help.

This topic was started over at XoopsInfo.

Maybe someone here who has experince setting up sourceforge can help out the XOOPS garage project.

Not necessarily to use the full package.

To use bug trackers for each module, create groups per module.

For version control, why not use SVN instead of CVS?
I haven't been using CVS for a long while. Perhaps CVS has a better permission control which allows restricted access to a specific branch for a specific group of developers.

Thank you for the post.

Svn was suggested in a previous post by Alex.

In layman terms what is the difference between cvs and svn? What im looking for is what would we gain in using svn over cvs?

From what you posted Dj.

It's now my understanding that I will be able to set up separate bug trackers per module?

I have read thru all of the docs but was unable to determine if that was possible.

Is there any other guidance anyone could offer on the ends and out of setting up sf.net?
