I can give one simple reason:

Its theme building not theme remixing, i don't like to break a theme so i can rebuild it how i want it, its a waste of time that i can spend doing something else.

Say I have a PSD file that i wanna XOOPS...I'll finish like 2 times faster with the theme from scratch than doing it from that particular theme.

It is a nice piece of work no question about it, but at the end of the day its just another theme!

You should need only a good idea and creativity.
Theme design don't need to be so 'technically complicated'.

Having just installed it, I can see what you mean

I want something that's "standards compliant" and Morph 2 seems to fit the bill on that score, but "simple" it ain't

I think all the .png stuff really sucks. Everything you half to do to get them to work.

If Bill Gates is not worried about .png than either am I.

.gif .jpg is so much easyer...
