CBB 3.08 - Admin Reports

I have disabled the feature that enables people to report a post, I am lucky I have a fairly passive community lol.

Anyway when I go to admin > forum > reports I have to clear entries every other day sometimes 1 sometimes 10 below is the type of entry I get and rarely changes, the Ip is mostly always different so it's hard to just block an IP.

Reported post: Re: Tysabri? 135
Report text: order viagra online order viagra order viagra http://courses.cvcc.vccs.edu/ENG112_GROSS/_Chat_Room/00000b5d.htm?viagra [url=http://courses.cvcc.vccs.edu/ENG112 84.109.109.39

Now it doesn't seem to be creating any problems as such, it's just starting to annoy me I don't want the DB to end up with thousands of these entries, if in fact they do end up there.

The very first time I checked this I would have had about 200 or more of them.

Any ideas and do others have this occurance on there CBB installations.

Cheers....Darin ;o)

Hi,

On my site I've done what you have with CBB.

As added security, in Protector 3.04 I've set "anti-SPAM: URLs for guests" in the preferences to a setting of "3".

I've also set Protector's "enable anti-XSS (BigUmbrella)" to yes.

I've not had any "report spam" for a long time with these two settings.

HTH
