Now I'm not complaining, I was just playing with the tags module as it looked pretty cool, and could have some benefits, installed it, updated framworks for it, and had to update newbb to work with frameworks too, and find out in order to make tags work you've gotta do hacking of module submission pages.

I'm not a fan of creating more work for myself when it comes to upgrading later.

ok Question, WordPress's plugin does just that, plugs in and works why not XOOPS?

Perhaps this is something that can be built into the frameworks and then a module developer chooses to use it or not.

Which brings me on another Question which may already of been answered, please link me if it has, now that DJ is commanding the show, can we please have framworks and editors built into the core, rather than additions?

Anyway I installed tags on a test site, and it's pretty cool, but I'm gonna skip on this one until it works seamlessly

When you use the Article 1.0 module and the Xpress (Wordpress) module, both by (DJ), the tags work fine, I haven't looked at using it for CBB, didn't even know you could.

I agree with what you have said about hacking stuff to get things to work.

;o)

framworks was always planned to be in 2.3 - and I think this is why DJ started his Frameworks download.

Tag support isnt in CBB 3.08 - but is, I believe, in CBB4 in the future.

ahh right, now it makes a little more sense, information on these modules is rather scarce, I only stumbled on tags after using something similar and much more easier from WP, so thought I search for XOOPS, didn't find much at first so went through the DEV site and it was there.

mmm If DJ is developing the core, newbb, XWpress, tags, and the others, is he going to have time to do it all and also run the whole community site too? Just hope he's not spreading himself too thin.......

I look forward to new versions hopefully soon
