ExtCal Timezone Problem

My Server's timezone is set to GMT -6 (Central) but I have my profile set to GMT -8 (Pacific). When I enter an event for 18:30 (PST), it puts it to 16:30 when I go to view it later. It seems it is subtracting the profile timezone correctly on viewing, but it isn't subtracting it correctly on entering or some odd thing. Has anyone run into this problem, and if so, how did you fix it?

Extcal and some other calendars try to adapt the time to the timezone where you are. These modules are that brilliant that your users don't understand them anymore. For this reason, I installed AM Events which does not do this.

I've had several problems using this module, I uninstalled it and have a happier life now

Not really a solution, but like Dona_Brasil said: better use AM Events.

I posted a question about this over at zoullou.net two weeks ago and have bumped it twice since. If they know the answer, they are apparently not willing to share it. Pretty simple question, but no reply whatsoever.

For me, anyway, AM-Events is not the answer, either. I installed it and entered 1 event which started on Sept 1 and ended on Sept 6. The program shows it as terminating on the 7th instead of the 6th. Plus, the program hasn't been updated in a long time.

So, still looking.
