I'm new to XOOPS so this may be a stupid question, but I gotta ask. What module do I need to use to be able to show news for anonymus users, I mean users that are not registerd. I cant figure that out, pls help.

You can set permissions within news 1.53 so that anons can view certain categories.

Well that didn't solve my problem. I want to show news on my home page but I cant find that option. When I'm setting up block, there's only block from System module, how can i add block from News module

You can set the news as your start/home page in Admin => system => preferences => general.

If you just want to show the recent news block on your home page, go into system => blocks. You can make the visible there. Then go to the same place and click on the 'edit' link for that block, you can pick which modules it will appear in.

Please download a copy of the XOOPS Operations Guide for more info on permissions, blocks etc.
