Hello. I have lots of questions.

Is NewBB included or downloadable? How to turn it on? When I goto to my ACP, there is only one box to choose "System Admin", is that the only one?

Where do I add menu items (navigation items) content etc?

When I changed default theme it didn't apply.

How do I add content? I see nowhere to do this.

As you see in my old post: https://xoops.org/modules/newbb/viewtopic.php?viewmode=flat&topic_id=51015&forum=27 I had the same problems, and got no answers.

Regards,
Yuper

Possibly as your Questions are answer across the site and in the instructions already...

Modules are needed, you download these........
Navigation is also there as a main menu or blocks you arrange these...

It is what you choose to add to your site, XOOPS is a framework for web-design…..it did use to include all modules, yet modules are dependant on what a person is doing…

Please look through the forum as literally everyday someone comes like your self who hasn’t read or looked…and we say this same thing…

Many if not all of the questions you have asked are already answered extensively in the XOOPS FAQs. You can find them by clicking on the XOOPS FAQ link in the Community Menu on the left of this site. Additionally, under the Community Menu you will see a link to Documentation this is a great place to find out the answers to what you are asking.

Bender is a seasoned vet of XOOPS and also provided you information in a reply to your previous post. Unfortunately the link to mcambridge is a dead link right now. But everything you have asked is already provided in the areas Bender, Wizanda and now me have given you.

- the default theme can be changed in the admininstration/system/preferences/general_settings control section of your site. Any themes you have uploaded to your sites/themes folder will have there names displayed in a selection window in the general settings called: Default Theme: default <--currently. Click on the down arrow of the selection box and click the theme you want to make as the default theme. Now it should/could look like this: Default Theme: yupers. Scroll to the bottom and click on GO to submit your changes.

- if you would like to change between the themes you have uploaded in yoursite/themes folder you can alternatively go to administration/system/blocks. Locate the Themes block and set it to display in the locatation you would like and set "display to "YES", scroll down to the first Submit button and click on it. Now go back to your home page/top page and you should see the block located somewhere in the left column, right column or one of the three center column positions (depending where you chose to put display the block).

- to change to a different theme you simply scroll down to your Theme Block, locate the theme you wish to review and click on it.

- There is an enormous variety of modules available for your XOOPS opensource cms. Half the fun is in playing around with them to decide which ones you want to use and it is an excellent way to get used to your new CMS.
The most current and up to date modules are now found in the News section of this site. Above center you will see the MODULES Block link. Themes link is located there too. Along with lastest posted new modules or modules up dates and themes etc.

- Downloads are not exactly made directly from this site. Module and Theme compressed files are generally stored on the developers site or in sourceforge. Developers post the modules information, features, changelogs etc here and provide the necessary links for downloading the file.
Always be sure to investigate the module to ensure it will work/was developed for working with your particular XOOPS version. Checking the Comments section at the bottom area of the module page is always a good place to get information on a module and often you can find fixes to any bugs or problems which may have been discovered.

Merry Christmas!
