How to change length of , username to short variable

Hi,
I want to change the (username to short variable), is there somewhere in XOOPS that this variable can be changed. I want to change it to a minimum length of 6.

system preferences user settings (where else? lol)

Yes,
just take a look over admin --> system module --> Preferences --> User Info Settings

you can find it easily.

Sorry for last post, I dont have a user settings on my preference page, but there is a blank line with edit on it but it comes up with a blank page, I have pasted the menu below.

General Settings [Edit]
[Edit]
Meta Tags and Footer [Edit]
Word Censoring Options [Edit]
Search Options [Edit]
Mail Setup [Edit]

Is the user settings the second one down.

I'm using XOOPS 2.0.16

excuse my sarcasm m8 (sometimes i forget myself).. i wasn't takin the piss tho.

but obviously you have a problem in admin preferences so you would have missed it, if it wasn't for that problem u most likely wouldn't have needed to ask :)
