Hello,

i have installed the xhelp module in my XOOPS website, and when i am trying to activate some of the blocks included with the module, XOOPS seems to be blocked, or at least the pages where i have selected the blocks to be visible are totally blank.
I am posting this problem in this forum because it is happening also with some other blocks, like members_online, etc...
Can some one point me to a solution to this problem?

Regards,
D.

have you done a search for blank page? There must be literally hundreds of posts in this forum and the FAQ dealing with blank page issues.

Turn on debug in your system admin -> preferences -> general settings page, and this will show what is causing the blank pages. Without information like that, your XOOPS version, the versions of the modules you have installed and what actions you have and are performing, it's rather difficult to determine the exact cause, and suggest a solution.

Hello Herko,

thank you for the inputs. I have enabled the debug but XOOPS is not reaching the debugging function, it is getting blocked before any debug output.

I am trying XOOPS 2.0.15 wiht the xhelp 0.78Beta, which is working fine with the exceptions of the blocks.

I am having as well the same problem with members_online or xoopszentrack modules.

Hello again,

i have been able to trace back my problem to header.php and more precisely to the following statement:

$xoTheme =& $xoopsThemeFactory->createInstance( array(
'contentTemplate' => @$xoopsOption['template_main'],
) );

Until there XOOPS is operating correctly, and after that it is just stoping in case i have some specific blocks activated.

What could be causing this behavior?

D.

Ehm... debug output is generated by the PHP engine, not the XOOPS engine. They're notices, warnings and fatal errors. Have you followed the instructions, because it just may be that the debug output is there, but in *white text*. If you select everything on the white page (ctrl-A), is there still no debug information?

Are you sure ALL files have been uploaded correctly? You can use the checker (I forgot what it's called.. md5 hash checker or something) in the root of the XOOPS package, it sort of checks file intergity.
