Hello all,

If you are interested, I have set up a system to allow my site members to make money with their published articles using the Google AdSense program. Google AdSense allows you to include the ad codes of different AdSense publishers on the same web site, as long as there is only one unique AdSense publisher per page. I am using the smartsection module to display articles on my site http://www.myottawa.ca . In each article, if the article author includes their AdSense publisher ID# when they submit their story, I will include an AdSense ad on that page. I am using "wrapped" html pages that present each story in the same template format, with the Google AdSense ads placed to the side. If an author submits a story with their publisher ID, I just change the publisher ID in the story template for that article, so that they would receive all of the ad revenue that article generates.

It's a win-win situation for both the person who submits the story, and for my site; my site gains new content, and the story author gets the chance to make some money from their postings.

You can see an example story page, with AdSense Ads on the side, here:

http://myottawa.ca/modules/smartsection/item.php?itemid=4

Here is the page where I explain how it works:

http://myottawa.ca/modules/content/index.php?id=5

Here is the story submission form for AdSense Publishers:

http://myottawa.ca/modules/liaise/?form_id=4

(you can see that I am using the liaise module to do so)

I hope you found this interesting.

Jeff

does google allow that ?

coz' if they dont.. you and your buddies will lose all their earned money. google is starting to be very restricted on adsense code and they are freezing many adsese accounts.

yes, I am quite sure they do actually. Google's terms & conditions state that you cannot have the AdSense ads of more then one publisher on one web page. The terms *do* allow you to have more then one AdSense ad on an entire site however.

There are already a number of web sites that already offer a sort of AdSense Revenue sharing system like this... but these usually display the Ads in a block, which rotates between the site publisher's code, and the article submitter's code... so they end up splitting the revenue 50/50, or on anther ratio. My site is a bit different, in that I allow the article author to receive 100% of the ad revenue..well, I have no choice, as I only paste their ads on the article page! But we both benefit in the end.
