Ok, I never before used "cache".
Now I set up "1 minute" for the news, and nothing to other modules.

There are less than 100 items in table_xoops_xoopsnotifications, 9.4kB.

The total size of DB is 20MB.
Stories take 17,6 MB (3200 items), seccont take 1,1 MB etc.

And there's definetely problem with the "News".
Did I mentioned that I added some mods to "News" ?
I added another field in the database, and also in the scripts ("overtitle"), to be shown as "overtitle" over the news_title. I coppied paramethers of the "Keywords" and "description" functions. I tried the modul on fresh XOOPS, and it worked fine, but now is slow.

Also, I couldn't upgraded the database when I installed the news 1.44, so I did it manually, but I also had many problems with that (database was of for several minutes).

XOOPS worked slow before too, but now it takes ages to come back to index after story submitting.

Tnanks.
I'll copy this to the forum.

Have you run any of the debug processes? Also, would you care to share the url of your site so we can see first hand?
"I'm going to see if this internet thing takes off" - someone told me this when I suggested he needed a website.

Ok, i removed the lines from "forum".

How about this:

Notice: Undefined variable: numrows in file /modules/xoopspartners/blocks/partners.php line 86

This is line 86.

86 if (($numrows <= $NumberPartners) or (!$random) ) {
87 return $PartnersId;
88 exit();

Your site loads pretty fast here on the east coast U.S. The news stories usually came up in a reasonable amount of time, though some did seem to take longer than I expected. I'm not sure how to help but here's hoping someone with more knowledge and experience than I have will offer a suggestion based on the info you've provided.

Zagreb1, If I can put just a note about the above url, then I am on a full 2mega down stream conne..
So i don't see the differences.

But , when I look at that url you have in the above post, I can say ; it is a bit loaded with images and there seems to be so much happening for a starting page.
The other pages I click seems to be over loaded in the same way and that is only an opinion.

It is not a remedy, but I would have played with images, making them smaller, or maybe put less info on one page.
The scrolling things and too many animated gif on one page also takes a fair share to slow down.

Some one recently posted a link to another website, - where to analyse a url and they give you the tips on how to optimise your site making it faster,
I don't really remember in which topic was that, but it is like three/two weeks ago.

Search for some other website's tools that will give you tips how to speed your site.

just a thought!
