I am not able to add any modules.

I have the latest version of XOOPS with many modules installed last week. Now, I am not able to install even a single module.

the modules directory is 777 and the file for eg 'wf-downloads' cannot be installed at all. the directorirs and the files are all correct (ie. there is no sub-directories containing the module information). I tested with many modules already working fine (unintalling & trying to re-install). but, the module does not show up at all.

I always have just 1 entry at the end of the modules list. which says 'Module File for Not Found! '.

Now, what went wrong and why am I not able to add any modules ?

There are a number of things that can be wrong but the ususal culprit for 'file not find' is missing or corupted files that result from the ftp upload. What you need to do is check every file in the module folder you have uploaded against the inzipped module folder you uploaded from and see what is missing. Then
1. add what is missing
2. if nothing is missing assme corruption so delet all the files and start over.

Make sure you are only uploading the correct files (even though you have said that) - double check it!

Consider which ftp program you are using - check the FAQ's and do a search - I had problems with one of my ftp programs and now use smart ftp..don't try and upload too much at once eiher
