I had someone make me a fixed width theme and all is well with that except for some forms that I think are dynamically generated???

The submit forms for Weblinks, News, NewBB & WordPress are too wide and also making the text wrap on my main menu. I have not been able to find any templates for these modules to edit so I am wondering how to go about making some of the form fields not as wide.

I am also using AMS but with the Kiovi editor and that is the only form that is NOT too wide and des not deforms the menu, other than the contact form.

I would like to know how to edit the form field widths and not alter the amount of characters they can accept OR, if it would fix the issue, figure out a way to use the Kiovi editor All of these modules like AMS. The few articles I have seen on this have not been helpful or I just do not understand something?

Either way I would appreciate some help
Thanks

Hey thanks that worked great for all form except the NewBB new topic form. I looked at the class for that module and the there were no such variables. I played with a few values but they did not make the text field any narrower.

Any suggestions?

try this in your style.css:
Quote:

div#content textarea {
width: 200px;
}

or whatever width you require. Works for me :)

I will try that Bassman Thanks! I did notice on another post that to fix the NewBB that you had to change the $cols value in Xoops/include/xoopscodes.php and that seemed to work.

Howerver, it sounds like it would be cleaner, espically when upgrade time comes, to make the change in css where possible.
