MySQL Issue

I have my database set up and can access it either through MySQL at a local logon, or with phpMyAdmin. I created a couple of dummy tables in it just to test everything. Everything appears to be working fine with that and the version is 3.23.56, so should be good. When I run through the install program, everything is fine until the end, when I get the "Could not connect to the database server" error.

I just migrated from a Raq4 to a Raq550 and the default path changed from /home/sites/site1/web to /home/.sites/28/site1/web. Don't think that would make a difference, but its the only thing that I see that changed.

Any suggestions?

Have you check the details in your mainfile.php - database name, password etc?

Also, check out this FAQ that may be related to your problem (depdning on the versions you're using) :
