Well since Yahoo allows for free
messenger allow you to chat send files Voip ect

Yahoo groups allows RSS feed with the groups, automated emails to your email with notification through messenger.
allowing us to updated files in posts also as attachments

Basicly its free and since I use Yahoo anyway I felt I would set up a group for us, then if there is problems with this site, we have yahoo also... they have the resources to cope with feeding all the information.

A good way to get to know all other Xoopers, only for people with XOOPS sites and Xoopers ie webmasters.

I put ran by wizanda and Co....
as I only thought it may be a good idea as a second option, yet anyone else who would like to be moderators or just checking only xoopers are allowed to be in it.

Feel free.... the RSS feed is also there for all other Xoopers that just want the News from it.

Why is XOOPS spelled with a Z? You should be able to change that in the group's admin area.

I will try, yet when I did when registering it said XOOPS is taken...Made more sense also as then it is diffrent on the RSS headlines...What do you think better to have seperate XOOPS for here and zoops for yahoo?

Maybe instead of calling it just XOOPS, you could use a slightly longer name. "XOOPS World" "XOOPS Sites." I dunno, my brain doesn't really start functioning until around 11 a.m.

In any case, you're doing a really positive thing for the community. I thank you for it.

So can your Xoopsgroups join Zoops groups

Can't have XOOPS its taken....so

oops, missed yer last post in between, I did first have Xoopsunity, yet decided against it....

Just wanted it simple like Xoops, plus as its me... Zoops...?

I will start a poll on it as we all can choose diffrent names untill we decide...
And everyone can make polls, its Yahoo!!
Their site can cope, so we can have a more democratic socity?

Come on all you lot join Yahoo, it isn't that bad?

Hmmm... Kind of silly that the developers of CMS software (XOOPS) need to use Yahoo Groups to get the functionality they need... I hope that some of the functionality provided by Yahoo Groups is at the top of some XOOPS developer list... Like IBM going to Apple for a mainframe computer. lol.

Oy cheeky, we don't..Xoops isn't.... it's me with the idea of being cheeky using Yahoo's resources...

The idea is Yahoo has a massive complex of computer normally you pay for this, or use sourceforge which XOOPS does.

We do have built in chat box as on my site and email if needed the problem come with power and price.

Yahoo is massive....
Yahooo is free..
Yahoo is not Msn...
The RSS News already broadcats to all XOOPS sites through XOOPS news, this is just an added option...
That is free and there..
So why not?
