Ok this is killing me, I cannot for the life of me get CBB to work. I'm using XOOPS 2.2.3 Final, CBB 3.04, PHP 5, latest MySQL (I know CBB 3.04 is a bug test version, but this isn't a bug, this just flat out doesn't work). I can make a post, but it doesn't show up in the forum index, or on any of the forum blocks through out the site. It shows the topics and posts numbers correctly, but the posts....arent there. I'm tearing my hair out. I appreciate any kind of nudge in the right direction.

Here's a nudge for you...pitch it and download an earlier version. Although it seems that 3.04 RC2 is working well, have you downloaded the RC2?

If that version doesn't work, perhaps you should try an earlier version (I'm currently using 3.02 and it seems stable).

Yeah I'm using the RC2. I tried going back several versions (CBB 2.0 even). The other ones were doing the same thing. What's weird is that looking at the database with phpMyAdmin, the posts are THERE, they just arent showing up anywhere else for some reason.

What's really crappy is I've been running around for 2 months saying I can do the student association website, I'll do it with XOOPS and it'll be great! Now they just keep asking why if it is so great the forum is broken = (

**I've noticed that the posts always show up as being made on 1/1/1970 at midnight. Could this have something to do with it?

Would it help if I turned on MySQL/Blocks debug and posted the results?

I guess I'll do the responsible thing and close it now that I've "solved" it. I went back to version 2.2 and it seems to work fine. I guess if the developer reads this (or any of the other frantic posts i've made), there might be a problem with 3.0x on 2.2.3 final. Thanks msdana, and the Flames are awesome (Canada needs the Nordiques and Jets back though).

Not a problem of CBB, nor 2.2, but more of a template issue

the solution would be: empty your template_c and regenerate templates if you use other theme than default

You're probably right. I did try using the default theme though. Sometimes the complexity of the XOOPS framework can get a little overwhelming (for me anyway). I love your modules though, I just wasn't smart enough to get them to work.

Now all of a sudden the "Last Post" date is garbled again. It now reads like T2006day 5:07:08 in both the forum index and the "Recent Posts" block. It was working fine initially. Is there a setting I'm missing? It does this with the default template too.

Well, we fixed it. In /language/english/global.php in the date strings there is a list of reserved characters (reserved by the date function() in php) In php 5.1.0 and later - the letters lowercase "e" and lowercase "o" are also reserved. So in the datestring the e's in yesterday and o's in today have to be prefixed with a /. the e is the time zone and the o is the ISO 8601 year number. See here:http://us2.php.net/manual/en/function.date.php
