Hey guys. I'm having difficulties with the PD-Downloads module. More specifically, I'm not able to update the maximum upload size because I don't have access to my server's php.ini.

I'm using regular webhosting, and there is absolutely no way of modifying the ini file. I'm wondering if anyone has found a workaround for this. I'm enthralled with PD-Downloads; Its everything I need for my site.

And help would be much appreciated. Thanks!

you're out of luck..

either;

ask your host provider if they'll up the limit, change provider or use ftp to upload ur files and then use the url method to add them.

Argh. Well, none of those options will work. Soo, can you guys reccommend any download/upload modules?

Basically, I'm looking to allow registered users to upload content (not just URL upload) and have everything divided by searchable categories. I was trying RMsoft for a while, but a portion of the text is in Spanish and a portion of it is in English. This isn't a problem for me, but it might easily present a problem within my userbase.

doesn't matter what download module you use.. non of them will allow you to bypass the max upload size in php.ini
