What's the purpose of Templates_C directory?
I'm asking this because I tried to redesign theme.html, but the page is still the same.

It is a cache of your compiled theme and template files, there are probably over 100 topics about it on the forum here. To update it, you should turn on 'Update themes and templates' in the System admin > Prefernaces. Turn it off again before making your site live.
