Don't know how to use DHTML editor

On the DHTML editor, which seems very reliable compared to fckeditor, everything seems to work except I can't insert code. No matter what variations I try with the 'code' icon, I can't even get HTML tags in.

Can someone please post a quick example to show how to do this?

Is it your browser? Sometimes browsers mess up and dont let the JS work properly. You might try that first.

Well I tried firefox and same thing. Basically I just want to add code such as

and basic stuff, and when I use the code tags, the html doesn't seem to work, and the code I have entered in is now present on the article itself, which is silly. I just presume I don't know how to use the DHTML editor, rather than a bug. Do you know a workaround for this apart from just viewing the whole code via the browser?
