I need some help from the XOOPS community to install XOOPS. After following all the instructions to install, I'm only getting a blank screen.

Environment Details:
OS: MS Windows 2000 Advanced Server
WebServer: Apache 2.0
Database: MySQL 4.11
Language: PHP 5
Primary Browser: Internet Explorer 6

Steps Taken Before Installation of XOOPS:
1. Created database (xoops) in MySQL
2. Ensured that appropriate directories/files in XOOPS have proper permissions and are writable.

The XOOPS Installation Wizard processes without any errors; however, at the final stage of the process where I should be seeing results of the install, my page is totally blank.

Attempts to resolve issue:
1. Checked Apache and PHP configuration files.
2. Confirmed that PHP files can be seen via Internet Explorer.

I'm currently working a project requiring a CMS and of the applications I'm considering (XOOPS, FuseBox and Drupal), I prefer XOOPS. Mainly because of the extensive documentation and support. Would hate to drop XOOPS due to what might be a small technical issue.

You will need to see this Faq Page to enable PHP debug mode so the errors of the blank page can be seen. That will give you hints of the problem.

Thanks for the fast response. After checking the FAQs Page as suggested, I was able to trace the problem to the php.ini file.

Solution: Go the "Extension" section in the php.ini file and uncomment "extension=php_mysql.dll".
