Adding built-in comment system doesnt work!

Hi,

Ive been working on popnupblog to edit it for my site...
I used the docs on the dev wiki to figure out how to add the XOOPS core's comment system, but it doesnt work.

It doesnt give me any errors or anything, but it just doesnt seem to show.

I'm afraid it might be clashing with the popnup blog comment system. Any ideas?

make a check on that... even with smarty templates debug it doesnt say anything, in the list of smarty template commans used, it doesnt recognise it. but at the same time it doesnt show it on the page?!

looking closer it leaves a blank where the comments thing should be, most probabaly just the
    things there, but its still not showing anything from those smarty template stuffs

    help??
