i dont know whether this request already exists or where the banner system development is going already but maybe it could be needfull.

if you just give the abillity to create groups where i can insert the banners, i.e. group 768x60 you´ll get a nice zone management.
maybe the banners then could be called directly as a file inclusion like banners.php?group=768x60&bannerid=x
then i would be able to set blocks for each banner zone or implement it to the theme or whatever.

i hope this is plausibly.its hard to me to explain in english what i think.

You might like to try Php AddsNew for a more complex banner system. Not sure where you can get it from at the moment, as we have problems with our Module repository.

yeah i´ve installed phpadsnew as standalone.

but it wasnt the question what outside program i can use for this but how to improve the already made XOOPS system.

i dont think its too much to do and i think the original banner system is a bit aged now and it would be nice to have an newer version, dont you?
