1. I use cpanel with my host.

2. My host have given me the address http://www.friends.clan-hosts.co.uk

3. I have bought an addon domain "photopals"

3. I have used fantastico to install XOOPS in photopals. http://www.photopals.co.uk/xoops

4. When I use the weblinks module and choose the view website in a frame all is good; http://photopals.co.uk/xoops/modules/mylinks/visit.php?cid=4&lid=1

5. If you now click close frame on the right hand side of the head you get http://www.friends.clan-hosts.co.uk/photopals/mojomovie.html

6. I do not want the user to see http://www.friends.clan-hosts.co.uk/
I want the user to see http://www.photopals.co.uk/

How do I change this?

Re: Cpanel and web address

Your host will have to offer it, but you may have an "Addon Domain" link on the cPanel main page.

Like I said your host will have to offer it as an option. Resellers usually have no restrictions on domains used. Shared accounts my be limited anywhere from none to 2 or 3 addon domains.

In other words contact your host and find their policies.

HTH.

Yes I do have a "addon domain" link which I have used to succesfully create http://www.photopals.co.uk

My question is

Re: Cpanel and web address

That would most likely be a DNS/redirect issue. I do not use frames so I cannot answer the question on this. Sorry.
