Is it possible to run XOOPS without cookies?

i.e. use session id only or some other form to validate and allow access/privileges or set access/privileges

Firewalls are a major issue almost all potential users will be behind several ie local and network

Many Thanks for your support

no. XOOPS Brasilly relies on cookies.

however you can disable the http referer check which is a common problem with firewalls..

it's not exactly XOOPS problem, as in my opinion firewall companies *should* not block http headers by default especially when they know that it will stop some sites working.

Thanks for quick reply...

Is there a current forum on firewall/cache problems/issues

If disabling http referrer check was all it took great but I guess there are many other possible issues that would need to be address including various cache methods.

A cookie must be set and then flushed to function as desired, correct?

If so how many ways could a firewall/cache issues stop/interfere with this process and as a result stop XOOPS from performing as desired?

Many Thanks for your support
