The Red Hour online gaming clan, has been using XOOPS for a little over a year now. A recent change of webhost, allowed us to rebuild our site. We used the Montisarts 2003 Black Theme, and added some red tweaks to it. We're pretty happy with how it turned out, and Frank from Montisarts liked the red tweaks we made.

Visually quite appealing , although I find the blue text on black background a little glary in the blocks.

Technically, the theme has 34 HTTP requests which is quite good. However the site weighs in at around 665KB which will pretty much make it unusable for 56k dial-up modem users as it would take between 1 and 2 minutes just to load the site. Although this impact is reduced in subsequent visits as images are cached (even though the HTTP requests they produce aren't). You might want to look at some image optimisation/consolidation as the top 6 largest images are all over 55K each, and total around 530K (which is around 80% of your total site weight).
