Is upgrading a PHP version a big deal? We currently run with 4.3.7 and I noticed 4.3.10 came out about Dec 04.

Is there any groundbreaking advantgaes (with regard to Xoops) to upgrading to 4.3.10? I'm worried that if I do something will go wrong (I know that no one can gurantee against that anyway) and I won't be able to get my site up and running again so if there's no advantage I'd rather not bother. Then again, I'm having a couple of problems that I wondered might be resolved by upgrading.

I may be mistaken, but I believe it was a security update due to the worm that was attacking PHP sites during that time frame. I do know that the vulnerability was fixed in that release. Or at least most host were upgrading as soon as possible.

And If you do upgrade (and since it is for security you probably should) make sure that you upgrade the Zend Optimizer to the latest version.
