Hello!

I'm russian XOOPS user. I installed both xoopsheadlines and xhld modules and tried to retrieve news from russian rss resources (http://www.compulenta.ru/rss.xml for example). Data can be retrieved only by xhld and only in ISO encoding. But, ISO encoding shows russian letters incorrectly.

So, how can I get rss news in windows-1251 encoding?

JFYI - most of russian community's life happens on http://xoops2.ru (and you question will not be missed, at least such ordinary and "answered a lot of times before")

Hi!

Yes, there are some solutions. But I didn't find a complete russian translation ready-to-use in their downloads section.

And, to all, it is always a pleasure to make a solution by yourself. Isn't it? ;) So I did my own and posted there.
