I did a search for 'karma' but did not see a answer to this question.

How does one 'gain' karma in NewBB2? I understand how/where someone can make a post only visable by x amount of karma, but how do members get the kamra?

Any insight appreciated.

good question about how to get newbb2 karma or even know what your karma level is . . . it sounds like a good feature for high volume/persnickety sites, but it ended up confusing my users, so i turned it off.

Karma is still unfinished feature, as I can see.

User must (and I think - will) have ability to vote for other members (or assign karma some points to user... it depends from implementation...). Maybe (pure speculation) "Rate thread" ca change karma of author or all user's in thread.
I didn't read newbb2 help, thus - probably RTFM is needed, but I haven't help, only link to it in admin area

I went to the newbb2 site/devs and found my answer. 1 post = 50 karma. Thats it.

They are looking into having ways to gain/loose karma via voting totals, how many replies, if your post gets stickied/locked, etc. But none of that is implemented as of yet.

and there currently is no display for karma, prob be in the next major update when the karma system is fleshed out.
