I expect this has already been asked or mentioned somewhere in the forums but I'm unable to find the answer.

I realise NewBB2 allows the attachment of graphics files, but will it allow the attachment of other file types like Word Documents or Excel Spreadsheets?

In my case, on my work Intranet site we want to create topics and say 'Look at the file here' and the user should be able to click the attachment and it loads, in just the same way as e-mail. Currently we are having to use hyperlinks on NewBB1. I don't want to put NewBB2 on the site until its final.

Is this\Will this be possible with NewBB2? A simple 'Yes' or 'No' will suffice. Thanks

On the edit forum page there's a field for allowed extensions. I've added doc to that list, and it seems to work perfectly.

I'm using the latest download from the dev forge, btw. Not sure if it was available in earlier versions.
