webLinks & "news' disabling ??

Hi.

I do not want to allow anybody (other than the admin) to be able to post new 'webLinks' and 'News' items. What do I have to do ?

not sure about the regular News module, but if you get the newer release, News 1.2 (from http://dev.xoops.org), you can set permissions for Submitting, Approving, and Viewing

the weblinks module has an option in the module Preferences that allows you to disable submissions, i believe.

either way though, if a user submits news, you just have to delete or ignore it, it doesn't get automatically approved unless you enable that option.
