hi there !

i installed and configured my XOOPS install without any problems.

the site is located in a folder:

http://www.mydomain.com/xoops/

Afterwards i decided that i would like the XOOPS site to be accessible through a subdomain:

xoops.mydomain.com

the homepage of the XOOPS site comes up with no problem, but when i put in the username and password and press Enter, it goes to the page

http://www.mydomain.com

I tried editing the mainfile.php, but i can't edit it since i get a 'permission denied' if i try to edit or upload a new file via FTP.

Can someone point me to what/how changes i have to make so that the XOOPS site know it is now hosted under the subdomain:

xoops.mydomain.com

Thanks for any help

chris

CHMOD the mainfile.php on the server to 666 first and then overwrite (it's set to 444 to protect it from being read and written by anyone but the script).

Hi again, and sorry for the useless post.

it was a permissions problem on my server. The permissions for mainfile.php were 444. Changed them to 744 and managed to edit the Virtual path to xoops.mydomain.com

Now everything works as expected ...
