What is the purpose of passng an array of strings to xoopsformcheckbox?

What is the purpose of passing an array of strings in the constructor of a XoopsFormCheckBox? What does the checkbox display?

The third parameter in the constructor of XoopsFormCheckBox is to set the checked status.

E.g. if you have a checkbox group with 3 options - Yes, No and Maybe - you can supply the constructor with an array of Yes and Maybe. Then on rendering, Yes and Maybe checkboxes will be pre-checked.
