I know, this has got to have been answered on here a million times. Unfortunately I can't find it through the search!

I have a site which will not be using the members' registration. Therefore I'd like to remove all references to "register now" and "become a member".
I am using XOOPS 2.0.7.3 with the karate_redux_blue theme.

Would some kind soul find enough patience to answer this one?

I did find the text in the theme.html but this did not remove the text permanently just the wording changed.

Any help here would be much appreciated.

Instead of removing it from the code, if you go to the administration menu and click System->Preferences->User Info Settings, the first option on there will be to allow New Users to register. Just set that to No

Thank you for your reply. That was the first thing I tried.

However, this left the link for customers to register but flashed the message that new registrations were not being accepted. I did not want my readers to feel rejected!

So I found the piece that I need to change in the karate_redux_blue^theme.html that is within the templates_c directory.

I had spent so much time looking for it I had given up. Naturally, according to Murphy's Law, when you stop looking for something that is precisely when you find it!

FYI templates_c is a cache directory, which means anything you change there WILL get deleted/overwritten at some stage.

Changing the actual template (or theme) file. You will have to into the themes/[themename]/theme.html file.

Then after the change remove the cache files so it will update.
