It is possible, to install Modules without FTP Prog.??

I think an a Webfrontend how looks like the Template-Manager with upload and install (activatet) the Modules.

No sorry, this is not possible yet. But maybe this is an option for future versions.

Templates are stored in the database, modules are not. Therefore it is possible to install templates without FTP access.

Having modules automatically uploaded and installed would mean that the modules folder and all subfolders should be writeable by the server - which is not exactly a smart move security-wise, I feel.

It should be possible to create a module for FTP access.
A module like myphpadmin I mean.
In this way u can access your ftp by administration panel..

Is it possible?

You might want to check this out. I found this a while back and was looking through some of the old releases on my server and found this lying in the mix. It is a file manager, but the only thing that it doesn't have is an unzip function. I might look into adding this later. Use this at your own risk!!

why do you not have FTP? how did you get XOOPS into your webspace anyways? also, to add the ftp module, you'll need ftp access to upload it, and probably ftp access to use it (cus it would need to use an existing account)

does your host not provide a control panel with a File Manager?
