Need a little help on "User Ranks"

I cant seem to figure out why my user rank dont automatically update when a user get to a certain number of posts. i have a user with 44 posts, and it takes 41 posts to get to the next user rank, but yet hes still in the previous rank, any help on this would be appreciated

Are you sure the other ranks in the min/max sequence have not been assigned a "special" ranking. In the min/max sequence all "specials" should be off.

Special and min/max don't go together

yes all my ranks have "special" ticked off, except of course for mods, and admins which was ticked on by default.

this has been driving me nuts for the past few days, and i cant for the life of me figure out whats causing them not to switch.
