Hi,

Since a couple of days people can't upload new avatars on my site, so it seems. This error occurs:

moderator2.gif
==>mimeException

I don't know what this means, as it is a bit cryptic.
I'm using good old XOOPS 1.3

Because it might be a rights problem I CHMOD'ded all images directorys (incl. avatars) to 777. (or is that foolish?)

Any clues?

It doesn't matter if you chmod your image files to 777. I would personally upgrade yourself up to 2.06. It doesn't take that much and you will get a better and secure website for it. Just go through the patches found on the download page.

The avatar pictures may be to big. This will stop it but normally give you a better error code that the one you have been given. Try turning on bugmode for a while and try uploading an avatar and see what it says.
