How does that Sourceforge sidebar work? Do they have API to get that information from their database?

hello, am new here. trying to get my site running how i want.. would be nice to have the source forge info(ie how to add it to our sites) i have downloaded all the goodies and such to the server, but how do you add it to xoops?
