cannot login after install there is no login and cannot access admin.php direct... i get the error i cant access this page directly and refreshes to the main index.php page it loads the header and the footer.php but nothing else.. Im new to XOOPS please help

it would help if u gave us a few more details.. ie post a link to the site so we can actually see exactly what's occuring...

it maybe file permissions, or it cud be just a bad installation, but ur question was too vague..

Ok after what seems like it is a good install on my windoz 2003 server running apache and mysql. It has an option to click HERE to go to your web site. So when i click there i get only the header.php and the footer.php showing there is no login window or anything else that i can see to get into the admin section of the site.. so i try to type in the address manually thinking it may by default say login first and i will get a login screen but how WRONG i was it tells me that i can access this page directly and refreshes back to the main page. still with no access to the login. this is a test & design server only so i use the localhost for this on my windows but it works fine on the linux box. I need to get it working on the windoz machine so i can make the changes that i need and add any additional function. So easy with dreamweaver but that is what is happening
