I would like to know how can i change the top words like news,faq and so on to any word i want to use.

Go to system admin -> modules and change the module names by editing them in the liost of modules that are installed

Do you mean the image for the faq at the top?

If you mean the word FAQ that appears on the top of the FAQ page, then you can change that in the modinfo.php file in the faq/language folder. Everywhere you see the word faq in that file can be changed to whatever you want in it's definition. Same goes for the main.php in the language folder.
