Theme won't Change

I could change themes at will === now only the Default theme is displayed.

Preferences shows that theme should be changed.

what's the reason for "This should be turned off once the site goes public."?

also, when i enter the user profile, i don't see a dropdown box for selectable themes. there are about 5 selected from the admin general settings highlighted.

"Selectable themes

Choose themes that users can select as the default theme"

If you have it turned off, you will have to go into your templates through the admin panel and update the file manualy. If you have it on, it updates by itself, and your changes will show.

What you can do is select the themes you would like them to choose from (ctrl+click for more then one). I've never enable user selection, so I don't know how or where it shows in the user profile, but one other option I have seen used is to use the themes block to display them on the side of your page.

yeah, i saw the same thing on the theme site but that looks kinda tacky if that isn't what the site is about. it should be done in the user's control panel.

thanks anyways

hey wardick,

i hope you are not confused by the above and got things going ok. i believe mine and stewdios' answer addresses your issue, what zerofill is noting is another issue.
