Ok, even though my XOOPS is lightening fast, as the site grows it will need to continue to be fast.

So, please tell me how I can enable chaching of everything except the menue buttons. In other words I want to enable cache for ALL content, everything in the center columns, but none of the menue items/buttons.

I think I know how to do it but am not quite sure so please help?

Also, give tips on best way to do this and the dos and don't.

I want my site to be optimized for top performance using all available XOOPS features so it can also serve as a nice example site for pottential new XOOPS users.

Max PoliticsForum.Com will grow into a HUGE site so it will serve as a nice example professional site running Xoops.

Thanks much!

Max

You can enable caching on a block level and on a module level. Block level caching settings can be found at the blocks admin, when you edit a block. Module level cache settings can be found at system admin -> preferences -> general preferences.

As for what the best way to do this is, I can only say that you have to think of what you want your users to see. Which content needs to be updated fast (forum, dynamic user info blocks), less fast (news, articles) and almost never (static info blocks). Adjust your cache settings accordingly.
